Darryl was an absolute knock out of a wedding DJ, our guests danced all night long and for a moment it felt like we were going to fall through the second floor of Arnaud's from all the jumping around. He was accommodating of all our requests and so friendly to us. We heard over and over how great the music was and that it was the best wedding people had ever attended! Thank you so much, Darryl!!

Darryl was a great DJ. We had some special requests for the ceremony and the reception and he did an excellent job. He was able to keep the crowded dancing all night long during the reception. The photo booth was a hit and the uplight and monogram added that little extra to the venue space.

Darryl was an amazing DJ going above and beyond for our wedding! 15/10 would recommend! First, he was very thorough and communicative as well as reassuring! He let us know that no matter what our wedding would go well despite impending bad weather. He read our guests so well choosing the perfect music for every moment. Darryl did a phenomenal job DJing our wedding reception. For starters, he was extremely easy to work with and very communicative. In the lead up to the wedding, we sent him a playlist of songs that we wanted to play. He expertly and seamlessly wove our playlist with his own improvisation to curate a vibe that kept the party going all night. I had friends that always avoid the dance floor tell me they danced virtually the entire reception, which prompted me and many others to pull him aside and let him know what a killer job he was doing. I would highly recommend hiring D2 Entertainment for your event!

We booked D2 for our wedding at the Napoleon House in October. We were coming from out of town for the wedding, so we really relied on recommendations from the venue on who to book. D2 was at their top of their recommended DJs list, so we reached out and had awesome communication. Darryl is quick to reply, has all the information you'd ever need and helped answer any and all questions we had. He also has his own client portal that you can fill out with details about the wedding and enter in your song lists. We had a nice zoom meeting where he went over all the details and we were able to clarify our vision for the day. The day of the wedding we showed up early to the venue and Darryl was already there and ready to rock and roll. The lighting set up was awesome, he stuck to our song list, and the party was pumping all night long! He was so fun and great to talk with that I had 0 hesitations booking with D2 and would do it again in a heartbeat!

My fiancé and I had one goal for our wedding, for everyone to have a blast. It has been a little over 2 weeks now and people are still telling us our wedding was the most fun they’ve had in a long time/ the best wedding they’ve been to. I definitely thank Mr. Daryl for that. He kept the dance floor full and read the crowd perfectly with song choices. We had a mix of older and young crowd and everyone had songs they felt comfortable dancing to. Mr. Daryl was actually a fill in when our original DJ got sick, but he kept me feeling confident the whole time with how professional and together he had everything. I cannot recommend him enough!! A good DJ can make all the difference and this one was so perfect for our wedding!

DJs in my opinion can make or break a wedding. I have been to plenty weddings were the music just killed the vibe so I was very concerned about finding the right one. I am so glad that Darryl was a part of my wedding. Wedding planning for me was a bit stressful but Darryl made this part of it so laid back and easy. He was very professional but fun and made creating the playlists easy with his platform as well. I was also reassured with just how prepared he was and he made me feel like no matter what he could manage any situation that came up. Darryl was Amazing! I had a bunch of questions prior to the wedding and Darryl did a zoom call with myself and husband. He answered any questions/concerns of mine and made me feel at ease about everything. Darryl is kind and caring with a tone that will just calm your nerves if that is what you need. Reception was perfect, the wedding was perfect, and my photographer got hundreds of great photos of everyone dancing. I would not have wanted anyone else but Darryl. Highly recommend!

I’m a wedding photographer, so I see a lot of dj’s. When I got engaged, I knew a particular DJ stuck out to me - D2. His weddings are ALWAYS the most fun, most organic and most hype receptions.

Being that we are both in the wedding industry,
I knew it put a lot of pressure on him. But, he excelled. Everyone is raving about how it was the most fun reception they’ve ever been to.

I’ve had 6 people (in 1 day) tell me their knees hurt from dancing too much ????! It was the best day ever and I owe a lot of it to D2. Thank you, thank you!

He personally reached out to me after hurricane Laura letting me know that I didn’t have to worry about my bill for him! He came to my wedding after just getting electricity back on at my venue! Our Wedding was last night in the middle of a Hurricane. Darryl was amazing! he kept in touch with us all day, he gassed up his generator to make sure we would have music. if we didnt have power at the venue would go on. Darryl was absolutely amazing to work with! I could not leave the dance floor the entire night because he made the wedding soooooo much fun! He worked so well with our venue and our photographer to make sure everyone was on the same page and was done perfectly. The online system he uses he so easy and his music selection is very big. There was two songs I couldn't find on his system and he was able to get them for the wedding and they sounded great! Anytime we had any questions, he would always respond so quickly and made sure that we had everything we wanted. My husband was so picky about the music and he was so blown away by all the services Darryl provided.

The photobooth was awesome and everyone absolutely loved it. I love looking through all photos to see how much everyone had fun.

The lighting he used was so pretty and I love the colors he used. The monogram that was on the wall was so pretty.

I would definitely recommend him to everyone!!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND D2! My fiancé and I are extremely picky and particular, and Darryl met all of our expectations! We spent days researching and comparing different DJs in the area and chose D2 Entertainment.
Darryl was an awesome DJ at our wedding and played songs that kept people dancing all night. He really knew how to keep the vibe going. We gave him a list of songs we wanted played and also requested a few songs throughout the night, and he did a great job at playing what we wanted.
Leading up the wedding, he was so organized and was always available to answer our questions. Darryl ended up providing the up lighting for our wedding as well. He did a great job. He is extremely professional and friendly.
Don’t worry about researching different DJs, because we did it for you! Book D2! :)

Best DJ I've ever met! He was so kind and patient with my questions and concerns before the wedding. and wedding night he was so fun! We enjoyed Daryl! He did an excellent job for our wedding on 11-10-18. The music flowed and people danced until the shoes came off. He was very personable and friendly! Easy to talk to and coordinate long distance as we had a destination wedding. We would highly recommend this great DJ!

Darryl paid a lot of attention to detail and we appreciated that at our wedding. He took time to talk with us before the big day so we were all on the same page about schedules, type of music etc, and was also really good about improvising on the spot. We decided at the last minute to have the whole wedding party introduced and he didn’t miss a beat! He also has a wide song selection and even included some of our special requests. Thanks Darryl!

My husband and I loved having Darryl DJ our ceremony and reception. He made sure everything was the way we asked and was so adaptable and accommodating during the process. The day of the event he just wanted to make sure we were happy and having fun. We had a jam packed reception but he kept us on schedule and all the guests commented on how much fun they had dancing! As my job calls for special events I would book him again and recommend him to any couple getting married!
We were also excited to book him because as we were venue shopping and asking around about DJs he was always highly recommended by venues!

Darryl is THE Best! Our wedding was a destination so we booked based on reviews but after our first call we knew we needed to book D2. Darryl, was adamant on making our wedding the best possible and was willing to help in anyway. He explained the full process on the phone last year and was responsive via email/calls/texts until our wedding day. We met in person once to discuss reception timeline when we were in town and he assured us he would coordinate everything to our liking and time it based on the flow the day of. We were a little behind on the reception due to the 2nd line detour because of road closures. But he made our reception effortless and got through all speeches in a coordinated fashion with food courses. The music we selected he integrated in with some of his own playlist and kept the dance floor packed. So much so, we didn't get as much use out of the photo-booth he set up! But what we did get from the photo-booth was great and well worth it. I wish I could leave more stars and give a million more examples of how he went above and beyond and enhanced our wedding. Darryl was absolutely fantastic!!

Darryl came and rocked my daughter's Sweet 16. Great sound throughout the rooms. Light effects were lit. Darryl himself is so fun and accommodating. You can't go wrong with this man. Let him entertain you!

I would honestly leave more stars if I could.

The only complaint I had from guests were "we didn't get to eat that much at the reception because the DJ was so good, I just kept dancing!".

Darryl has been an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding reception. We were a destination couple (which had it's own challenges with selecting vendors) from Connecticut and he has been so flexible and continuously made himself available for any question we had. He was also open to online video-chats since we could not meet in person which definitely made the process a lot smoother and in kind made us feel more comfortable.

His online portal was very user-friendly and had an extensive music library; on top of being open to any special song request that he did not have beforehand. My husband and I had quite the variety of music genres on our music request and he nailed it.

He also was very interactive with our guests and timed all events perfectly. We were continuously saying "we're not doing the traditional wedding" which he replied that there is no "traditional" anymore and every couple/wedding is different. The fact that he is able to maneuver around various requests and still put on a great performance with the bride, groom and their guests in mind speaks volumes. I would highly recommend Darryl and D2 Entertainment for your wedding reception!

Darryl was simply amazing. He tailored the music around our requests and kept the dance floor packed for the ENTIRE reception! The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive, and that our reception was one of the best they had ever been to!
There was a lot of contact prior to the wedding, ensuring we were all on the same page with every detail. From the load-in before the ceremony until the last dance, Darryl was on top of it all. D2 is full service, and also provided the photo booth and up-lighting (that was less expensive than the up-lighting we could have gotten from the venue) for our reception. All of the additional services were provided seamlessly. Additionally, knowing he had back-up gear on hand, we were confident there would be no surprises, and there weren't.
Overall, I can't say enough about Darryl and D2 Entertainment!! Our wedding reception was truly A Night to Remember!!

I would definitely recommend D2 entertainment! They went above and beyond to make sure they were on time, and they had a separate microphone system set up for the ceremony. We also had a photo booth and it was so much fun! The pictures were readily available online the next day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

What can I say Darryl is a class act. From beginning to end this guy went above and beyond with both his DJ skills and simply caring about our wedding day. The day of went smooth and he kept things moving throughout the reception. Aside from the actual wedding day he was very responsive with the planning process as well. I’m not planning on getting married again but if I was I’d choose his guy every time. Thanks again Darryl!

Darryl was so easy to work with and made me feel completely at ease through the whole planning process. Any questions I had or things I needed were always responded to quickly with either an answer or a "don't worry, I've got it." The website where you choose photo booth options and the lighted monogram had tons of choices for both style and layout. Darryl put everything together perfectly and everything he brought to my wedding was well done and stress free.

Darryl was great! We literally didn’t have to worry about a thing. He had everything ready to go and paced out everything really nicely. I’m a musician so I’m very conscious of how the crowd is feeling and make sure the mood is right. And he totally nailed it! My friends and family were dancing the whole time! We also gave him one frank Sinatra song to play for the money dance, and it ended up taking a lot longer than we thought, and he just kept cranking out the Sinatra tunes! The vibe was perfect. Darryl was so amazing!!! I didn't give him a big list of music, and he was able to play all of the best songs at all the right times. EVERYONE was dancing and having a blast. I was also very last minute about everything and he was very accommodating. He was also able to work very closely with our wedding planner to make sure everything went smoothly!

Darryl was great! He made the entire process stress-free from day one. I was able to choose the songs I wanted beforehand online, which was very convenient. We had our wedding out of state so were unable to meet with him beforehand to discuss details, but Darryl was nice enough to Skype with us and assure us that he had everything taken care of! He was very accommodating and even came to our rehearsal upon request last minute to make sure he had all of my images for the slideshow. I would 100% recommend Darryl for any wedding or event!

We contacted many DJs in the greater New Orleans area, and one that immediately stood out to us was Darryl at D2 Entertainment. He was quick to respond to our calls and texts, had great knowledge of the industry, was incredibly personable, and seemed like a fun person. We looked up his reviews on all of the websites (theknot, weddingwire, perfect wedding guide, Facebook, etc). Not only does he have 5-stars everywhere, but the reviews that people leave for him are thought out and outstanding — which I think points back to how great a job Darryl does for his clients.

Once we put our deposit down Darryl set us up with an easy to use client portal where we were able to list the songs we wanted to be played throughout the ceremony and reception portions of our wedding. We were able to add songs to a “must play” list he had and we were able to add songs to a “definitely do not play” list. The portal made things incredibly easy for us, and ensured we would have a good time during the reception.

From the time we retained Darryl’s services, he was basically available whenever we needed to discuss things. Honestly, he would respond to text messages within a few minutes no matter the time of day. He even came out to the French Quarter to meet us a year before our wedding date when we were in town to meet some other vendors. It’s always a pleasure to work with someone as responsive as Darryl. A few days before our wedding he setup a conference call with us to go over the specifics of the wedding one more time to make sure he had everything in order.

Once the day came Darryl was awesome. He was at our venue a few hours before the ceremony setting things up. He coordinated everything with the venue himself, so he didn’t need to bother us with anything — which allowed my wife and I to focus on the things we needed to focus on.

Darryl had the right music going during the ceremony and kicked us off to the reception in style. Once we got into the reception room he had his setup ready to go and he got the party started. Darryl played us all the hits we requested and there never seemed to be a dull moment during the reception. He was great at reading the crowed to see what people wanted played and he gave the people what they wanted — a great time!

We highly recommend D2 Entertainment for your wedding or event.

Darryl was AMAZING! We had a small destination wedding of 25 people on the Steamboat Natchez, so I wasn’t sure if I should book a DJ or not, but I am so glad I did! He took care of EVERYTHING, let me set up a playlist and took requests, he went completely out of his way to make our night perfect! All the guests loved him! I never had trouble getting ahold of him and he was right there for any questions we had! Best DJ ever!

We are so lucky we found Darryl/D2 Entertainment. He came highly recommended by our photographer and we were not disappointed. He was very responsive and reliable from the very beginning. He offered up a lot of help since we were an out of state couple - he even set up a video meeting with us! He came to the rehearsal to double check everything and arrived early the day of the wedding. We threw him a curve ball asking for a Grand March, but he handled it great and it went really well! Such a fun night!

This man went over the moon and back to make my wedding everything and more! The online web portal to load all my music was the easiest process throughout my wedding. I've seen other portals. Darryl's helped you line up everything and remind you of things too that you might had left out, if it weren't for him. The speaker systems were on point! I had 2 neighboring restaurants on either side of my venue with their bands blasting at the loudest possible volume setting (Of course, right). With that in mind, I could still only hear our music as I walked down the isle and I'm not sure how he pulled that off. The lighting he set up was amazing! The up lighting on trees and underneath high boy tables looked phenomenal! I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this DJ. I would and will recommend him highly for any occasion and venue. I hope to use him again in the future! Thanks again, Darryl!
